HTC one X
The HTC One X is the newest smartphone release from HTC and this phone is supposed to compete with the samsung galaxy s3, and iphone 4s. The htc one x has a 4.7' screen display and has a great HD screen resolution. HTC has added some new technology to this phone such as with just a swipe of your finger you can wirelessly watch movie from your phone to television in an instant. Another plus HTC added was the fact that you can take a photo and film a video at the exact same time, so in some scenarios that could be very useful. The one thing the HTC one x has over its competitors is that it internally has "beats audio" infused into the phone, allowing crisper sound quality when taking on the phone and music quality on the phone is excellent. With it's 8 megapixel camera, HD screen display, large screen size, and teaming up with beats audio makes this one cool phone that can take a punch against it's competitors.

Galaxy S3
The S3 offers a 4.8" screen display and holds 64gb of internal storage and can also take an external 64gb of external memory (micro SD card). The S3 has an 8 megapixel camera in the back and a 2 megapixel camera in the front. Samsung has also redesigned the touch screen to offer the best touch sensitivity phone on the market.
This phone by far is lead contender in the smartphone market and has competitors such as HTC and Apple questioning there new smartphone releases.

"new iphone"
Apple has informed the media that a Iphone 5 will be released in the near future. Although the date for release has still not been set by Apple they did confirm that they have increased the screen size to 4" compared to the 3.5" offered now and will also be running on 4G for accessing the internet quickly, and downloading faster than ever. Apple is very good at keeping their secrets but apparently this phone is to "up the anti" on smartphones, Rumors are even going around that Apple is going to call it the "new iphone" and may be able to store up to 150gb of internal memory. The launch of the new device is expected to come before 2013 so that it can compete with Samsung's galaxy SIII which in my opinion is the best smartphone out there right now. Personally I am not a fan of the iphones but if they really innovated the iphone to a completely next level of technology or speed that society isn't accustom too, I see nothing but dollar signs for Apple, and the competition between Apple,Androids, and Rim don't seem they will be stopping any time soon.

Keynote
Blackberry is to launch its latest smartphone design. The blackberry keynote/dev alpha, which still doesn't have a release date but should be able to compete with apple's iphone 4s. The keynote has a 4.2" screen display and 16gb internal memory, and also has a HDMI outlet for TV compatibility . The keynote also runs on blackberry's latest software 10OS. From the image above it looks very similar to the iphone but will it compete?
Personally I am surprised RIM doesn't have a law suit in their hands because the keynote looks identical to Apple's iphone design. The most significant change that blackberry is doing to their latest products is the elimination of the keyboard, which has it's pros and cons but anyone that owns a blackberry, has a blackberry because they don't like dealing with touch screen displays. This could be a problem for RIM because it might turn people off due to the fact there is no keyboard and that it looks like a knock off iphone.
On the other hand this might be what RIM needs because even though they have a majority of the Canadian smartphone market, it's only a matter of time until apple or any other smartphone manufacturer for that matter will pass blackberry due to there current decline in sales and shareholders.
